Intro to the course:

This course is designed for those with existing practical knowledge or experience in the beauty therapy industry.  candidates will develop the necessary  practical skills and essential knowledge needed for progressing into a position in industry or to HNC level of study.

• Facial treatment packages
• Eye enhancements
• Body massage
• Depilation
• SPA treatments
• Face and body electrotherapy
• Creative and current make-up trends
• Commercial experience

How will I be assessed?

Practical assessment on live clients. Closed and open-book written assessments.

The beauty industry needs skilled staff. This course will expand your skills and knowledge and help you to progress into employment or self-employment.  You'll be taught in our beauty therapy salons by lecturers with current industry experience. Engagement with employers such as Ellisons, Hair and Beauty, Manicure company, Capital Hair & Beauty, Dermalogica and others will give you an insight into the industry, and offer opportunities and experience.

Where can this course lead?

Successful completion would help secure a junior therapist position within the highly creative  beauty industry 

This course also prepares you for self-employment as a beauty therapist.

What are the entry requirements?

One or more of the following: 

• NC level 5 Beauty Therapy or level 2 City & Guilds Beauty Therapy or level 5 nail technician or NPA at level 5
• Two National 5 qualifications 
• Industry experience
• Keen interest in the beauty therapy industry 
• Acceptance will require a successful interview 

What are the interview arrangements?

Group information session. Individual short interview.

Fees for full time is £1008

This course is eligible for Bursary.

You will be taught by a team of industry experts with a wealth of experience in all aspects of  beauty therapy related services

Full time course: This course will run 16 hours per week for 36 weeks
