Payment at enrolment
If you are about to enrol in the college, please read this information carefully. Payments for courses are taken at the point of enrolment, therefore you should have your funding application or payment methods ready before you come to the college. Failure to pay or fund your course will result an enrolment not being completed and therefore you will not get access to the college services for your course. Part-time college fee waiver grant policy fee waiver policy 2024/25
To qualify for a fee waiver, you must:
- be studying on a vocational part-time programme
- be unemployed and/or receiving certain benefits
- be able to satisfy the conditions set out in the College Fee Waiver grant policy
Fee waivers are granted if you provide proof of status when you enrol. For further information, contact the college finance team on 01355 807780.

Warning about scams
There are phishing scams which directly target students. SAAS, the Student Loans Company and the college bursary, finance or student services departments will never contact you by email asking you to confirm your bank or other personal details.

Applying for the right funding
There are different sources of funding depending on the course you do and your circumstances.
Apply as early as possible
Apply as soon as you receive a conditional or unconditional offer.
Types of funding
Students on Further Education (FE) courses
Levels 1 to 6 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
Students on FE non-advanced courses – SWAP, Higher Studies, National 3, 4 and 5, SCQF Level 4, 5 and 6, City & Guilds, SVQ 2 and 3 and NC – should apply for a Further Education (FE) bursary or Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA).

Students on Higher Education (HE) courses
Levels 7 to 11 on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).
Students on HE advanced courses – Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Higher National Diploma (HND) – should apply directly to the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) for tuition fees, bursary support for young and independent students, student loans and any supplementary grants.
