INTRODUCTION TO HAIRDRESSING MODERN APPRENTICESHIP

Intro to the course:

This course is an Introduction to  the Hairdressing Modern Apprenticeship Programme 

Who is the course for?

This course is suitable for those who have employment within  the Hairdressing industry. Applicants must be aged between 16 - 24 years old to be eligible to undertake a Modern Apprenticeship training programme. 

What will I study?

All aspects of hairdressing including essential knowledge and practical skills.

Next step course options

Progression to SVQ 2 or 3 Modern Apprenticeship in Hairdressing 

How will I be assessed?

Assessment swill be carried out under observation by a hairdressing assessor or through a witness testimony. 

Why should I choose this course?

This taster course will give applicants an understanding of the commitment required to undertake an Apprenticeship training programme. 

Where can this course lead?

Applicants should be in full time employment within the the hairdressing industry 

What are the entry requirements?

• Places are open to 16-24 year olds only 
• Potential candidates must be in full-time employment 
• Highly motivated and have creative and artistic skills 
• Candidates must reach the eligibility criteria required to qualify for funding 
• Successful performance at interview

What are the interview arrangements?

Interviews will be arranged by the alternative funding department and the curriculum staff.
