Intro to the course:

Course Overview: The SCQF Level 4 Introduction to Construction course is designed to provide students with a broad foundation in various construction trades. This qualification is ideal for those who are considering a career in the construction industry and wish to explore different trades before specializing. The course runs until December of the calendar year, whereby a level 5 NPA in a specialised craft begins in January. 
This course is designed to provide students with a platform in order to achieve their level 5 NPA by June.

Next step course options

Successful completion of this course (in addition to a positive internal reference) will enable students to progress to a Level 5 NPA (National Progression Award) in their chosen trade, such as carpentry and joinery, plastering, bricklaying, or painting and decorating.

Assessment of this award will be ongoing through a combination of practical work and knowledge assessments.
