This course is designed for adults who require additional support for learning and are looking to progress onto employment.
This course will equip you with the confidence, skills and knowledge to enter the world of work by developing your core and employability skills. You will learn elements including developing essential skills, travel support, working with others, responsibilities of employment, financial capabilities and communication.
There will be an opportunity to apply your skills in a range of settings including participating in the College Way Market clothing shop and a work experience placement.
There is possible progression to other courses of study, voluntary work and employment.
Ongoing assessment in a range of practical and classroom based activities as well as the successful completion of a work experience placement.
This course will provide a supportive environment where you can gain confidence, independence and the skills needed to move onto another college course or into employment. You will take part in an external work placement.
By gaining the skills from this course, you will improve your chances of going into further education or entering the world of work.
