Who is the course for?

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn online and to enhance their skills in using Microsoft Office.

What will I study?

This course is fully online and can be completed at a pace and location that fits around your commitments. Online tutor support will be available.

 You can select to study any of the following units:

  • word processing 
  • spreadsheets 
  • presentations 

You will receive Certification from BCS on completion of each unit.

Completion of an additional unit, Improving productivity using IT, will result in achievement of the group award:  ICDL Extra

How will I be assessed?

Please note that all Although the course is fully online, the final assessments must take place on campus, under observed conditions. 

There are 4 final assessments in total, each taking 45-60 mins to complete. Assessments are generally held on Tuesday evenings however alternative days may be agreed subject to demand.
