This course will increase your British Sign Language (BSL) vocabulary and your skills and confidence in communicating with D/deaf people about everyday topics.

Ideal for those who have completed an introductory course in BSL.

What will I study?

This course will enhance your BSL vocabulary and communication with D/deaf people. Course includes: 

  • grammatical structures and features of BSL 
  • greetings and interactions 
  • simple words and sentences 
  • common phrases
  • giving and following instructions 
  • receptive skills

How will I be assessed?

Assessment of communicating with another user of BSL and understanding information provided in BSL.
