This course will help you develop reading and writing skills through studying, analysing and responding to a wide variety of texts. It's an advanced course to help those looking for formal qualifications for employment.

What are the entry requirements?

Any of the following: 

  • National 5 English 
  • equivalent recognised qualification 

If your first language is not English, it is recommended that you possess English for Speakers of Other languages (ESOL) at SCQF level 5 or an overall score of 5.5 in IELTS.

What are the interview arrangements?

Your offer will be based on your application.  You will  be invited to an information evening before your course begins.

Other information:

Fee: £460, payable at the start of the course. Payment by instalments of equal monthly payments may be agreed with full payment required prior to the exam or on withdrawal from the course. A minimum of 20% is payable at enrolment. 

A blended learning and teaching approach will be used to deliver this course on campus and additional study will be undertaken at home.
