Who is the course for?

This course is aimed at those working or volunteering within community development settings.  It also allows progression onto the HNC Working with Communities .

What will I study?

You will have an opportunity to explore issues around working in communities. Building and developing community resilience , ethical practice and ways to engage and work with community groups are be the main features of this course.

How will I be assessed?

Open and closed book assessment and placement opportunities.

Why should I choose this course?

This course is extremely relevant in terms of our post covid recovery it also allows those attending to work towards registration with the Community Learning development standards council.

Where can this course lead?

Community work opportunities within statutory, voluntary and third sector organisations.

What are the entry requirements?

No formal entry requirements but experience  in a community  learning and development setting or related sector and good interpersonal skills .

What are the interview arrangements?

Informal discussion about relevant experience and reference.
